Raspberry Lemonade

I love raspberries! Why not try making a lemonade with them? This lemonade tastes a bit like ice tea. It isn’t too sweet nor too sour. You can easily serve it with food.

You can choose to use fresh or frozen raspberries. If they’re frozen then let them thaw slowly and remember to add the juices that has melted out of the berries.

1 litre

  • 300 g raspberries
  • 1 litre water
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 50 ml syrup
  • 1 lemon, juice freshly squeezed

Pour the raspberries into a saucepan and add the water, honey, syrup and lemon juice. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.

Remove it from the heat and let it infuse for 1 hour.

Place a sieve over a bowl and pour the lemonade through it. Leave the berries drip off without pressing down on them. Discard of the berries (there’s no flavour left in them).

Pour the lemonade into a pitcher or onto a bottle and refrigerate.

Serve chilled or over ice.
