Fruit salad & custard

Fruit salad and custard is a lovely dessert. It doesn’t seem as naughty as various cakes, mousses etc. And it’s a simple dessert: some fruit, egg yolks, sugar and heavy cream.

If you want to be a little naughty you can sprinkle some chopped chocolate over the dessert.

I mixed a lot of fruit together, but you can do it exactly as you like it.

4 servings

  • 1/2 fresh pineapple
  • 1/4 watermelon
  • 100 g grapes
  • 250 g fresh strawberries
  • 1 orange
  • 1 apple
  • 1 pear
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 pasteurised egg yolks (2 1/2 tbsp)
  • 1-1 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 150 ml heavy cream

Cut all the fruit into small pieces and place it in a large bowl.

Beat the egg yolks and sugar until it is light and fluffy. Whip the cream in another bowl. Fold the whipped cream in the egg mixture little by little.

Scoop some custard on some fruit and serve.
